The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

I doubt Boston is done making moves too.

Most teams aren't done. It's November.

They're not going into the postseason with Al, Pritchard and Hauser as their playoff depth.
They definitely aren’t done. Loaded back up on 2nd rounders when they did all the trade backs on draft night. Think they’ll trade a couple of those to absorb somebody into the $6M TPE from Grant Williams. Still have 1st rounders they can trade too.

With that, should have enough ammo to get another piece or two.

For now, I’d just like to see Mazz figure out how to integrate Brissett and Stevens more so they don’t have to be completely reliant on Pritchard and Hauser. As long as the top 6 is healthy and playing, the other pieces shouldn’t really matter a ton though.

The Bucks really should've gone harder for Nurse man...
Feels like the contenders with coach vacancies like the Bucks, Suns were really overly skeptical of Nick Nurse.

imo he was obviously the best coach available and should've been able to pick his spot.

i think people really bought into the narrative around the Raptors season being his fault. which imo was always dumb.

He might not be the coach you want with a young roster full of players you need to develop.

but imo other than Spolstra, he's my first choice for a veteran roster that's trying to win a chip.

Kinda funny how last seasons scapegoats, FVV and NN, end up looking like they found greener grass early on while a lot of the same issues remain at Scotiabank Arena  >D

Neither were the problem but the team went with the long term play and building around Scottie's strengths which is fair too. His improvement/developement is probably the one big silver lining imo.

NN definitely would have been a good fit for any of those vet-laden, contending rosters that had HC vacancies in the offseason like you said.

I’ll take the L on this one. I think the Joker saved him (seriouslly, what kind of luck do you have…to have the 41st pick in a drafts…a slow big white dude from Slovenia…become the best player in the league, in arguably the most talented era ever)

Talk about finding gold. The Jokic story really incredible. And we living through it.

To Mike Malone:

Warriors will be stuck around .500 as long as Wiggins is playing like this. He’s unplayable right now, even worse than Poole last year.

He’s tanking a lot of the Steph minutes, killing the Warriors’ main competitive advantage.

Dude is embarrassing on the court. What the entire ****?

And he missed half of last year, for “personal reasons”

Kerr wont do if, but GP & Moody are better than Wiggins & Klay right now. Which is crazy to say. But it’s the truth

Zion probably got a tab with that escort website open in Chrome on his phone, and got a warm 24-pack of Dr. Pepper in his bathroom already.

Mans ready to check out on this team for the season.
