this sucks but i'm not surprised. i was listening to a podcast back in april and someone mentioned that a lot of our favorite shows were gonna be put on pause for a minute until covid was no longer rampant. damn it, we need folks to get vaccinated and stay the hell inside so we can get the next seasons of mindhunter, utopia and homecoming.

Finished Warrior season 2. So glad it randomly showed up on HBO Max. 7.5/8 entertainment. Love the period piece feel of it being original San Francisco. Reminder of what civilization used to look like with a dirt road and a brothel being pretty close to the pinnacle of human accomplishment.

and finished dark materials. A little kiddish but i’m a sucker for snow leopards and animals.

I'm pretty sure this series is done even though Esmail said he had more ideas.

S1 and s2 bookended that story.

It might be a whole new thing if they do a s3 just some connecting back to Geist.

I'm not in to the Superhero/Marvel stuff at all, I love sci-fi though and wanted to rewatch Star Wars and The Mandalorian so I got the package of ESPN+, hulu, and Disney+. Definitely canceling this after the month. Honestly the best thing I've watched out of the whole bundle was A Teacher on hulu, and a couple of 30for30's namely (Small Potatoes: Who killed the USFL?). If anyone hasn't seen it, its Trump doing Trump. Makes you like the guy even less. It was fitting for the times right now too. If anyone can recommend me something on Disney+ I'd appreciate it, otherwise it's something I might only subscribe to on certain months.

Anyone watching The stand on CBS? I'm thinking about subscribing, it sounds like something I'd like.

Just not my thing I guess, mutants and superhero movies and shows just don't do it for me. I've watched quite a few, and the only ones that I really enjoyed was the Deadpool's. I loved Joker (not Marvel I know, and not really much superhero, but its still DC based). I do like The Boys on Amazon too.

I'm watching The Stand. It's cool. Same story. Better acting I guess. No huge changes imo. If you haven't read the book or saw the last miniseries it'd be worth it to check out and see where most of the story goes with these characters. Typical religious undertones and good vs. evil concept.

Star Wars is really just sentimental for me. I get what you're saying though. The Mandalorian was very surface level too. I was pretty underwhelmed with it.
I used to subscribe to CBS and watched the first season of Discovery, liked it just cancelled CBS and never went back.
Steven King and his son wrote a different ending to The Stand so looking forward to that. I was really just waiting for the full season to stream it. I think I'll just go ahead subscribe now its only like what $6? Sounds like there is enough stuff to keep me occupied.
