In more accurate terms, plenty of people like the XIIs (I'm not one of them) but after Nike increased the number of units produced last year with the XIs (and saw positive results) they decided to again increase the number of units produced, even more than last year. The discounts you see are a result of sales design of the retail entities themselves (FTL, FTA, FNL & NT included because they technically are a "sales entity")
