GT Sport permanently turned me off from online racing. I generally don’t have a bad temper at all, but that game made so damn mad all the time…

You know how many times the following scenario happened?

Driving perfectly for damn near the entire race, getting rammed off the track into thick sand/dirt on the final lap, dropping from top 3 to bottom of the pack, and then watching the guy who rammed me get off with just a 10 second penalty while I not only lost but also got demoted for my driver rating…

Bloodborne was the hardest game I’ve ever played as an adult, and while I died thousands of times, at least I know it’s fair, so losing doesn’t make me mad. GT Sport on the other hand…

GT7 will be single player only for me if the online mode has the same mechanics as Sport

Sim racers don't even seem to rate the GT series that high.

And they shouldn't. Sim racers go for proper sims like iRacing or Assetto Corsa on PC.

GT is a good balance for a simcade. Has enough "sim elements" that make it reasonably challenging for people who like proper racing, while not being as demanding as a real sim. GT7 should have the options for you to change your car setup and chase laptimes to satisfy the "sim" part of it... while also having the amazing visuals, photomode, car collecting and casual racing for those who aren't as hardcore.
