I won't get into the soft argument, because it's laughable.
But!
You going to want your superstar to defend himself in the playoffs and possibly get suspended? Ask Diaw and Amare what happens when you try to defend yourteammates, or yourself in the Playoffs. You get suspended.
And if another guy put his hands on my face and I don't do anything, it means I'm a !%!*#, wow.
If someone ever does that to me, I'll be sure to keep a shank in my shorts.

This is a never ending discussion, but what should he have done? Pushed him? Punched him? Get suspended in a playoff series? Yeah, that is real smart. Dirkdoesnt come from the same background most these NBA players do. He really doesnt care if anyone thinks he is tough or a bad *%! or whatever. Dude goes out andballs on a nightly basis and has only missed a handful of games in his NBA career. I say he is one of the toughest players in the league.

I completely forgot about the incident. How does it apply to tonight's game though? And it doesn't prove that Dirk is soft. Maybe your defintion of"hard" doesn't apply to the real world where there are repercussions.
