I put together a decent computer at work (1gb ram, 3.00Ghz P4, 40gb hdd) just to try out the windows 7 beta, and it runs pretty well. I actually prefer it tovista, but I don't think I wanna put it on my new laptop.

I didnt burn any disc, all I did was extract the files from the iso and ran set up.

I don't think any version of windows comes with Word
you have to buy it separately (microsoft office)

Every single PC I've bought has come with Microsoft Word. Is there any way to transfer my Vista version of Word to Windows 7? This might be a deal breaker for me

Prebuilt machines do. Windows itself I believe does not include MS office and such.
