If you think UC was mindless fun.....
It's raining all day today, ruining all plans. Thinking of starting Metal Gear: Rising, it's been sitting in my backlog for a while now.
I enjoyed MGR though.

Yeah he's confusing me with that first he says it's generic and then say he likes it and can't wait for the next one but whatever I just don't see what he is seeing when it comes to UC franchiseYou're saying one thing(UC is generic, etc), then saying the opposite(it's a great game, etc).
Make up your mind.
Facepalm. I'm agreeing with your points on what Uncharted gets right : the voice acting, soundtrack and the graphics, but standing by on what I think makes the game generic and bad. You're really gonna tell me the characters, gameplay and the story line are original? It's not. You don't have to blindly praise a game like it's the best thing ever in order to like a game and if you point out some flaws it doesn't mean you hate or dislike the game. Geez...You're still alright though.

I'm looking for mindless fun right now, tired of story driven games at the moment. MGR is made by Platinum though so I'm expecting high quality action game play.

I never said that the characters, gameplay, and story were original. Nor was I blindly praising it.Facepalm. Overall, I think it's a high tier dumb fun game but overall it's a little above average.
Dude, just stop. I know it's a slow 4th of July. You're just trying to argue for the sake of it, it's okay that I have a different opinion than you.

How can a game be great, but also generic overall?
Makes no sense.

It makes perfect sense. How are stupid summer blockbusters great?
You agree with me that it isn't original and you like the game. There you go, it's still a fun game to play. This is now my 4th time explaining this to you. Stop being so arrogant.
Seriously, I've learned my lesson.
They guy doesn't think UC is great... So what
Many people do and some don't. Let's move on.
gta v is grand in scale, but man is it boring.
I've had the game for like a year, I've barely unlocked Trevor.
The last of us has a great story, but the gameplay was sluggish.
Already sold it.
MGS...
I've been holding off on just playing the game strictly with cheat codes on and doing what the .... I want.Eh I don't like gta V much either. It was okay but too me that game is the definition of overhyped. I lost interest in it quickly there wasn't much to do in the multiplayer but I did like racing
yeah I tried playing gta4 before our of boredom and I didn't enjoy it much but fwiw at the time i loved it. Hopefully when gta5 comes out on X1 and PS4 we can do everything like robbing banks from the start instead of waiting for R* to add it over time I think that's what killed the game for meI've been holding off on just playing the game strictly with cheat codes on and doing what the .... I want.
That's mainly how I play gta games.
Back when I believed that entering my email into a site meant a free 360, I had to restart my entire playthrough of gta4.
I was flying my heli to the mission right before you "meet" dimitri, then I get signed out.
A message pops up "this account has been signed in an another console." FUUUUU
Replaying gta4 was torture.
I remember gta4 being fun, but the stiffness of nico made me realize how far games have come.yeah I tried playing gta4 before our of boredom and I didn't enjoy it much but fwiw at the time i loved it. From what little I've played of rdr, you're right.I felt like Read Dead Redemption had a lot more stiffness then gta4 like when I would vault/jump over something it just felt clunky compared to gta4 which felt much smoother
Is Twisted Metal for ps3 any good? Use to love twisted metal 2 and Black.
