Here's why.

We also know that many of you will be eager to turn to experts for their professional advice. You want to read how the pros feel after their carefully considered road tests of The Crew. While we totally understand (hey, we read reviews, too!), The Crew was built from the beginning to be a living playground full of driving fans, so it’s only possible to assess our game in its entirety with other real players in the world. And by other, we mean thousands and thousands and thousands of players – something that can’t be simulated with a handful of devs playing alongside the press.

For this very reason, The Crew will be available to media to begin their reviews when the game launches on December 2. There will be absolutely no embargo on any type of coverage once the game is available for sale. While we fully anticipate that you might see some reviews immediately at launch – largely built around the preview sessions we facilitated during the past months or the limited content of the closed and open betas – they won’t be based on optimal conditions or reflect the finished game. We sincerely hope everyone will take the time to customize their ride as they progress through all five regions, explore every corner of the map solo and with friends, dive into our competitive and cooperative mechanics, race to the end of the main campaign, choose a Faction and compete with your crew in Factions Wars, and so much more.

 I can't even believe they're seriously going to release this game.

Should have just donated that dev. money to a homless shelter.

I don't think I'll buy another racing game until a new Midnight Club or NFS Underground, Hot Pursuit drops. I'll just jump back on FH2 if I get an itch for a racing game.

i might jump on the series now.... i tried the first one and i was like meh..... all i saw/got out of it was basically a limited interactive videogame drawn out cutscene... like you just sit there and watch the screen and occasionally press a button or make a decision... iuno my initial play of it was like a football/basketball manager of some sort but for a rpg/adventure game.

I'll never go digital anytime soon.


It sucks for these reason:


-Can't resell or trade in digital games.

-Have to deal with managing PS4 Hard Drive space.

-Games that are major releases are 50GB or larger take forever to download even if you are on a really good DSL or Cable modem that has 20MB, 50MB, or 100MB per sec download connection.Then you have to deal with your ISP's monthly download data caps.

So when you factor in that, time+money for a physical copy it kinda balances out sorta. But the nostalgia in me miss the box art... the instruction manual, peeling off the plastic etc... But i do hate having to keep up with disc, and the scratching etc. Plus i just notice outside of collectibles, and old school stuff i have no physical media. 

I didnt realize it untill i was cleaning out my basement and notice in the corner a old dusty cd/movie rack holder.... I forgot i even owned one lol

Well... 2 out of 3 ain't bad

your assessment of the series is correct. If you didn't like it before, you are not going to like it now.

That said, I think its great just for the story alone.

yeah finally copped season 2 on the Vita to continue where i left off.  Sucks i had to redownload season 1 to play season 2 with my old save.  Better than having to replay S01 and remember what choices i made.

resogun is pretty dope. i spent a good amount of time on it even when having like 2-3 games in rotation at system launch. co-op is cool me and my boys pick it up every once in a while.
