How do you co-op on the new areas in bloodborne? It looks like the old hunter bell but why can't I make it a quick access item?

I just got Bloodborne Yesterday. I'm struggling to get through the normal game so I can get to the dlc point.

lol, word of advice. Don't give up. Farm areas sometimes to level up, it'll help you out quite a bit. The DLC is definitely challenging. That boss is hard. Died twice. They maaaaay do a Flash Sale. The timing would be right, as they havent had one in about 1.5 months...
Don't expect anything great. The last few years have been less than stellar.
Box and mortar will most likely have better deals.

Can I play PS3 games on a ps4?
Is there a way that I could move game saves for both PS3 games as well as games I bought off of the psn?
I can still play psn games I bought from the psn store on the ps4 by redownloadinf them using my psn id right?
Also, my drive is messed up. It will play games but I have to turn the system off first and load the game and then turn the system on. So they check for that kind of stuff?

Started the DLC last night on Bloodborne. Insane so far, game def feels harder. Would of been nice if the new weapons was decent but then it would be a FROM software game, gotta rank them up to see how I like them. I didn't play too long to get to the first boss, ill be on longer tonight, breaking my controller lol

Beat the first boss in the DLC on about my fifth try. I did have help though. How come sometimes i can summon the NPCs and other times I can't?

PS4 does not have backwards capability.
PS3 games from the PSN store does not transfer over to the PS4.
Gamestop does check to see that the system is working properly.

i know that when i went with my friend to Best Buy he traded in his Destiny PS4 for the Batman one and they didnt even plug it up. they just made sure the cables and controls were there and that was it.
