The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

It got that chit in the middle :lol

But y'all are in the half that do have a bigger than 40 incher.

I know for a fact there are cats in here playing on their little computer monitors

I think I've seen dudes make the argument that 27-37s were perfect for gaming. Idk about that, I got a 40 inch 4 years ago and I'm sure 40+ is better.

I could see that for first person shooters, but everything else, nah. I still remember just how much in awe I was when I went through the God Of War 3 intro on a 55 inch TV. Seeing that on that TV is still one of the most impressive moments I've ever had gaming.

What's your point though? It doesn't matter if PS4 games run better than Xbone games if you have a small TV?

Lettuce be cereal half you fools playing on a 32 or smaller tv anyway

Also it's hard to compare screenshots when they're all different things. Give us a screenshot of the same thing on all consoles. We know the ps4s will be better that shouldn't surprise anyone
60 inch CRT over here.

I will not debate with you if you think size of tv doesn't matter if you wanna talk 1080p, 720, 792, 900 whatever p :lol do your thing swendro.. You must have a 26 8o

agreed although there is some truth to bigger being worse... I recently played on one of those large projection screens (think almost theatre size) and it was cool in some aspects and others it was too large to keep up with whats going on in game.... I think 40-50 is ideal for pretty much all games.

Oh please, we have 1080p smart phones with 5 inch displays.  I think you said, might not be you Carver, but someone in the android said, man that LG Flex 720p display was a deal breaker.... a 6 inch phone.....

edit: I play on a my IPS 27" monitor for lack of lag... I hooked it up to my 60" TV to watch a blu ray with the lady and then tried FIFA and BF4 out on it... Games are damn near unplayable with the difference in lag.  Maybe it was because it was a Vizio, but gameplay is terrible compared to a gaming monitor

inFAMOUS might have an unlocked framerate like the older games.
I forgot only Battlefield was 900p. I think with more time they could have hit 1080p.

where? Is it even worth copping?

Had a ton of fun with the game. I mained good Cole and Kratos.

GFlex deal breaker to me was the size. Chi based said that I believe and still ended up buying it :lol.. I told him you won't tell the difference on such a small screen. I told him also the lesser resolution the better his battery would probably be.

I did say something about 720p/1080p for the moto x however. Until I played with the phone and the screen looked no worse than my 1080p N3 or whatever phone I had at that time with a 1080 screen.. And the phone ended up being one of my favorites of last year.

I believe there were MLG players that were recommending the 27" monitors that they were using for gaming on. Sharp picture with high refresh rates. Times are changing and larger screens are keeping up with them more recently. I prefer a smaller (27") monitor I have in my office, but that is because I mainly play shooters and I like everything being on a smaller scale than when I had it on my 55". Now if we are talking about Drake's, MGS, GT5, or a sports game, then yea, a larger screen really lets you look around and be in awe of how beautiful it all really is.

Does it really need to be a crazy debate though :lol

Yea people are getting spoiled with technology for sure. I saw the guy saying the LG Flex screen was s deal breaker. My boy that works for AT&T said nobody else wanted it in store either, so he rocked with it and likes it. Sure it isn't as "sharp" as other phones, but it still looks good, has a good size screen and those 2 days of battery life are :smokin

Thanks for not getting to your point.

Left Behind is wayyyy too short. Beat it in a lil over an hour. Looks like Ellie has carpet munching tendencies like her real life counterpart Ellen Page. :hat.

My point is there's no difference on a small tv when it comes to 720/1080p
