The Original "Jumpman"

A play-on-words parody of the Jumpman logo synonymous with Nike's [Air] Jordan brand. It features the original Jumpman character from the 1983 Epyx classicplatform game of the same name, written by Randy Glover and developed for the Atari 400/800 consoles. The name "Jumpman" was first used by Nintendoin 1981 for the Mario character in the arcade classic "Donkey Kong." Michael Jordan did not coin the term until the end of his debut season in 1984,of which he won the title Rookie of the Year. Just a lil info for you guys.

Interesting, but is this maybe a coincidence. I doubt Nike was looking to Atari games for inspiration
