Good day today. Copped infrareds and they just had my size when I called.
Randomly went into footlocker today and Jimmy Jazz. Jimmy Jazz had squat, so I wandered into Footlocker. They shockingly had Red Penny's and Knicks foams sitting. I tried on the Knicks foams, they're meh on my feet. I wasn't too impressed. What irked me the most were the footlocker employees. As soon as I tried them on, I heard, "you need those in your life" from two employees AND the security guard. In my mind, I'm like ****, I don't need y'all telling me what I need. I just wanted to try them on and feel the material. It's such a lazy way to sell. I guess the majority of their customers don't have a brain. I definitely felt like my intelligence was insulted the way they said that. Maybe it was just me. Then after explaining the inferior quality of the newer foams compared to the older foams (I just had to break it down, they were acting like they didn't want to hear it, but truth is truth. I'm not spending $250 in a new foam FOH), I talked to one of the employees about the potential value of the Knicks foams once they dry up. I told her they would likely be around $400 and up once they are scarce. She disagreed saying that people don't want them. I told her that's now because there are other options at the moment. Once the holidays are over, it's a done deal on those. I then brought up the metallic purple foams, which I haven't really seen for less than $375 on the resale market. She claims to have seen them for $300. I told her that doesn't seem likely for a DS pair. She told me to pull up FlightClub on my phone, I show her and there are the foams for $375, not $300. Situations like this bugs me about talking to employees in stores that don't know anything, then try to tell me about "needing a pair in my life". Blech, that's my rant for the day. Cool story bro...
