the thread about nothing...

If you only get to play garbage time on a team, would you still show up for the championship game? I feel my ego is being challenged like did you really win if you never got to play. You know how in NCAA basketball, they sub in the white kid and when he scores the whole crowd is wild. That's me and I don't like it because it is so embarrassing. Think im just gonna not show up because I don't wanna be a debbie downer when everyone celebrating

You dont sound like a good teammate

Yeah I'm not doing a good job by contemplating not showing up. It's also not the coach's fault that I'm not good enough to not get benched. I'll go as insurance and to show support. I get it that I am the problem, it's just tough to look at them in the eye and get your ego in check when you pay fees to play, pay for gas, tell your folks to come watch you, and you rot on the bench. Real different from last time I played where the coach believed in me and I got to start

You were good enough to make a college ball team. Not a lot of people can say that.

It's like that saying that the 15th man on an NBA roster is still in the top .1% of ball players in the world.

Take pride in where you are and work your *** off to get better.

Also accept that you may just not have the natural born talent to improve past a certain level. Everyone has a ceiling. Just keep trying to bust through it and don't belittle the accomplishments you do have.

The way I see it: if people clown you for rotting in the bench and they aren't even on a team then Their opinion doesn't matter.

Played basketball for the first time in 3 months and played the worst I've ever played. If this was 2k, my teammate grade would've been an F :smh:
