I hear about it the convo is very divided so before I do that I need to look into that particular one myself but imsrs about getting into stock investing going to start off small with something I’m not afraid to lose and go from there

My parents got me a share of Nike stock as a Christmas gift back in 06. They wanted me to start investing in them as an owner vs a consumer. It split into 2 shares a few years after that then eventually Nike did a buyback for ownership consolidation. I was just happy to get a random check for $160 when I was strugglin
I'd recommend starting out with the Acorns app, microinvesting using the spare change from your everyday purchases. And also take advantage of your job's 401k plan if they have one. Take full advantage of their contribution match too. It's free money.
Plenty of resources out there to get started but I'd look into sitting down with a fee-only financial advisor. You can find one in your area here: https://www.napfa.org. Firms will give you a quote upfront for an initial sitdown and what type of services you need.

Yeah DJ VLAD said that so he said make sure you invest something you have no problem taking a L on so $100 by the end of this month should be a good start to get me something I don’t really have a interest in paying a advisor even though it maybe recommended
Man I just want to do better with the my money next year I want to get a better saving account with a better interest rate and other things as of right now I work with a wide range of people with different personalities and these older cats got me thinking

I’m not really an investor, but I do day-trading. It is significantly more risky; however, the reward can be tremendous if you time it right.
One rule of thumb, though. Only invest what you can afford to lose like previously stated. For me, I only ‘invest’ 1-2% of my net worth.
