Yeah I stopped watching at the last season and just tuned in for the finale. I have not run into anyone that liked the ending and I've always been told I didn't miss much by skipping the last season.

I think what it was, was that the himym writers had this idea for the ending since the beginning of the show. Problem was they didn't take into account that the show evolved. The himym ending would've made sense if the show had ended early, before they introduced the mother and before Barney and Robin became really good together. They should've changed the ending to what the show had evolved to.

By the way, I met the himym writers. One is a douche and kinda full of himself and the other one is super shy lol
