the thread about nothing...

Grateful to the network I've built
Got a phone interview with a top guy at a major firm

Asked around my network about him
He's apparently super nice/smart
But his team has had pretty high turnover -- people leaving

Just finished the phone interview
Asked him a lot of questions about his background, firm, etc.
He asked me about my current gig, why I wanna leave, volunteer work

Got the feeling that I was one of the first ppl he was interviewing
Said he'd be in touch after he finishes all his other interviews

Yeah did you ask about turnover rate? It’s touchy but knowing it’s high, it would be good to get his perspective on it.

Word, I wouldn’t leave my current job when knowing the next job has a high turnover rate.....you’ll be out of a job if $hit hits the fan and you don’t like the work environment.

I’ve made that mistake before.

Why the high turnover rate?

Turns out this isn't the high turnover team -- my source was wrong
The guy's team is top heavy, but small with only 4 ppl
Everyone's been there 8+ years

Just realized the only time white folks can say negro openly and get away with it is when they say the united negro college fund

Given how fast kids grow out of clothes/shoes, thrift finds is a really good idea.

Still can't bring myself to do it though. I'll pay for new stuff and ***** about the price.
