the thread about nothing...

Is eating loud and smacking lips something that cannot be controlled? I swear I always somehow get stuck with these kinds of people (Roommates, Family members, etc.)

I never paid attention to that as a kid since I was always too focused on the tv. I hear it now as an adult so I make sure to eat as quiet as possible and remind family when they are being loud.

I haven't confronted anyone about it. I feel like they won't take it well. So I just deal with it even though I am extremely annoyed.

This didn't age well.

Yeah, they don’t take it well. My brother is the only one I noticed who does that (lip smacking sounds) and will double down that he doesn’t. Then he’ll come out with other stuff not related and harp on that for a while. It’s easier to just ignore it.

No suggestions on a good tv which doesn’t strain the eyes?

U ever heard about blue light filtering glasses? I heard it helps with some ppl's eyes that look at screens for long periods of time. I never tried em before tho

Might be a cheaper alternative than buying a whole new tv

My tv broke down yesterday that’s why I’m copping a new tv. It’s really screen dependent, been gaming and watching tv all my life my eyes will be ok. But just noticed when looking at TVs in stores some be hurting my eyes

Might want to check out LG TV's then. They got "Eye comfort mode" in their TV settings
