It's 70 degrees all week so I said f it and tried my first 5k yesterday. Was able to do it & drop my Pace into the 8's per mile. Not gonna lie, the new shoes I got put me over the top. Almost feels like I'm on steroids
. I was wearing old Jordan retros and cheap running shoes for months and couldn't get past 2.5miles or into the 8's for my pace cause my knees were killing me. Shoes were so good I pushed my last mile and ran faster than the first 2. Gonna stay at 5K and work on my time from here.
