Favorite Mario game at the time, had the SNES with this one and Starwing, Super Mario World has a great lifetime with shortcuts, plus just learnt a few days ago Shigeru Miyamoto wanted the Yoshi to exist even in Mario Bros 3, but as it was impossible due to the system they decided to permit Mario to transform into creatures...
Blue Yoshi + cap for Mario was perfect, if you had a green, blue, or even better, yellow shell. As red are flames you can not make Yoshi spit to swallow again. And artworks like this one were perfect, in fact Yoshi's Island looks like they finally did a game with some artworks aspects, and as they made it very different both games are great and no one eclipses the other, which is clever...As Mario Bros 3 + Super Mario World I & II weren't enough, along all the mods that exist, there are at least a few ones which are at least as good as OG's.

The fact it is just logic, you got more energy as a younger, and the less you know your companion the more you're excited by him/her
When you start to live with someone a lot of #### isn't glamour or sexy at all, so all this excitation of not being with each other everytime, and about seeing her when she's on top and you too, tends to disappear. Then routine strikes, obligations, kids, and no lubricity, or less

That's why it's great to not live with her for at least one reason : S E X
But there's a lot of great reasons to live together, all the other reasons I guess...Laughs etc.
