Just got back from Lake Geneva. Hands down the most interesting run I've been on was this morning. The Shore Path is a public path that runs along the edge of the lake. The entire path literally goes through the backyards of the mansions along the lake. The terrain of the path changes from house to house depending on what the owners layed down. Everything from gravel, brick, stone pads, grass, wood decking, dirt, just about everything. It all changes as you go from one house to the next. Never ran off trail like this before. It's a good workout but taxing on the knees.
Some shots of the houses along the lake from a boat ride this afternoon. The majority of these homes on the lake were built by business tycoons from the past. The Wrigley family, Maytag, Harris (Harris bank) etc.
I’ve thought long and hard about it and I’ve concluded that the time I listened to All Night Long by Lionel Ritchie while peaking on shrooms was the happiest I’ve been in my entire life.
I went to my local Costco recently and the whole food thing was closed for refurbishment for 2 months. Hopefully they'll make it better because there have been terrible lines every time I've been for the last few years. My wife said the one by her sister (near San Francisco) had touch screen ordering and a pickup window which would be much better.
Last week there was a little stall by the window that seemed to do hot dogs only - but it wasn't open at 5:30 so I'm not sure when you can get one.
