So my first ever pair of Nike's that I can remember were the white Pippen I's from 1997. I was probably 8 years old when my pops dropped a cool $60 on these puppies at the Athlete's Foot [my typical, frugal Vietnamese moms was PISSED--still love her doe]:

Like any other kid who didn't really care for his shoes, I just left them at my grandma's house years ago when I used to spend every summer there.

So a couple of months ago, I try and find them after all these years and have no luck. My aunt probably just tossed them during a fit of spring cleaning. Pretty sad about it, but couldn't really do anything.

So last week, I'm just surfin' eBay, making my rounds, and I come upon these and just won them:

She pretty much said that she was banking on me riding with her for money reasons. It was partially my fault for just assuming that she would only want gas money when she first brought up the prospect of renting a whip & stopping in my city. Asked her if she'd be shooed if I didn't ride, and she says yeah smh. I'm not tryna drop $55 brehs

You know what's funny bro? Me and this girl work together, only once a week, but the last time we were at work, she was on this lil childish, giddy, flirtatious swag, messing with me and **** as if she was digging me. Being playful, scratching my thigh, tryna hit me in my face, smiling and ****, going through my phone looking at my text messages. At one point said some **** like, "I saw your GF the other day", I'm like "who is that", she hits me with the "idk" and then eventually this leads to a "Why are you single?" type questionnaire.

It was odd.

But now after this whole wanting $55 for the ride thing has sprouted, I'm starting to think that she was trying to bait me. She might've assumed that I would've thought I could get some action, and that that would remove any hesitation about dropping the $55. Can't really gauge females these days, especially at my school, but I'm leaning towards the idea of this girl just trying to bait me.
