I've had this job since I was 15 in my hometown of Rocklin (about 20-30 minutes from where I live in Sac now), I started at the parks and rec department working the youth sports programs.
The job title has more or less been the same since (with raises up till 4 years ago when we had a raise freeze because our city, Rocklin, is damn near bankrupt from being run into the ground by corrupt and stupid *** city leaders
) but the responsibilities have grown exponentially each year, it went from helping out here and there to straight up setting up gym schedules, leagues, assigning kids to teams, opening and close facilities, making sure leagues ran smoothly, etc; I was cool with doing all this cuz I genuinely liked doing it and as much work as it sounds like it may (or may not) be it was pretty easy and solid hours.
Anyways
with the city turmoil (Rocklin, not Sacramento), we've had 4 different bosses in the last 2 years (after having the same boss for the previous 20+ years, seriously, the guy was like a dad to me).
Well now we have some fat ******g piece of **** in charge of youth and adult sports and he is a fat slob who sweats when he eats, let alone plays sports, this mother ****** has literally turned the program upside down trying to instill new change.
With the constant turnover rate of new bosses I guess it was time they started getting rid of the little guys too for some fresh blood.
Whatever, once I'm done with the nursing program and working in a hospital, I'm like 99% sure I'll be making twice what these clown bosses are making now
