Morning Tan.
All the splash talk back there had me
That kid playing DDR :x :x :x :x how his legs even move that fast
I am mad nervous about my day tomorrow. I have to re-take my motorcycle skills test at 1....the whole system is so stupid. I took the classes last weekend. I have never been on a bike prior to the classes except once in a parking lot. We ride for 6 total hours then take the test. The first part of the test is a U-turn in a small box. So i made the U-turn and hit the boundary line so i put my foot down to push myself back on course....dude took off 5 points for crossing the line....then 5 points for putting a foot down. I had no idea that was the scoring system. I just figured once you crossed the line it was like ok i botched this one...on to the next.
I am not going to blame him for the scoring system but he was a 6 foot 5 former army drill instructor. I walked up to him after i failed to talk and was like hey man why did i fail. He showed me the sheet and i was like wow that is kinda just semantics don't you think? Like why isn't it proximity based? Like in real life if you make a U-Turn too wide you crash so shouldn't putting my foot down and staying at least close to the boundary be better? "FOOT DOWN MINUS 5, BOUNDARY CROSSED MINUS 5" literally yelled it in my face. I said "I understand and that kinda sucks the scoring system is like that but just man-to-man you don't think its against common sense? "FOOT DOWN MINUS 5, BOUNDARY CROSSED MINUS 5" just kept yelling it in my face like i was a child. I understand that's how he functions but i was a complete beginner and im a grown man i don't need another grown man yelling in my face. I tried not to take it personal or feel disrespected but i did a little at the time.
You can lose 11 points MAX....then you fail...i had -10 on the first thing on the test.....needless to say i failed because i lost 3 point for touching another boundary on and S turn and stopped too close to a line and lost 1 point....So my plan obviously this time is if i hit the border on the U-turn part to not put my foot down...pull it really wide and just go to the next part and take -5 not effing -10 >:
Not to mention i have to work from home tomorrow....get my oil changed...emissions tested....and hair cut....all based around this stupid test that i am stressing out about. The classes were $350 bucks....and you can only retake the skills test 1 time. And i haven't like practiced or anything since i failed. So i have to hope i can just go in and pick it up really quick. But i know i will stall those POS bikes like 5 times on the test and fail again....it usually took me like the first hour each test day to get the hang of where the friction zone on those bikes are. If i fail again its just a $350 loss and i guess i will go the MVA route or something
