Wearing shoes in the house never made sense to me. Maybe because I grew up in a house with carpet, but it just seems unnecessary and cumbersome. Even when I lived in places that had wood floors or mostly tile, still went barefoot.
I'd wear socks and slippers when it gets cold, though, but regularly it's barefoot.
