I don't understand some people man. I came across 2 tickets to a phils game tonight from my boss. I ask a friend of mine who i know ain't really got it like that and just been falling back lately if he was down to ride out. He text me "I'm good thanks though, i ain't tryna go and spend money i don't got" That's when i said what money do you have to spend if i got tickets already and connects all through out the ballpark. He goes on to say " Yea but that's gas i feel like a dickhead going somewhere without bread, there is just no point". I tell him he needs to enjoy life and don't let money get in the way just cause you don't got it doesn't mean you cant have a great time.

i don't understand people who live like this **** if i was handed something free and knowing i got np have money i would jump all over the opportunity with out hesitation

I kinda feel him(even doe I just went to a basketball game dead *** broke). Something always comes up that requires money. Say you guys go to the game and on they way out meet some ladies that wanna go get some drinks. Now he feels(and looks) lame because his boy had to buy him some drinks.

Even at the game I was invited to we had to pay for parking.

well **** i didnt look at it like that. you have a good point. actually a VERY good point.

I think you overlooked the fact that he was enough of a friend to admit that. Were you going to pick him up? Or does he have his own means of transport? If you were going to pick him up, at least he was considerate of you talking about giving gas money. Sounds like an "Don't worry, I got you" type of situation. I've been in both sides of this, it shouldn't be a big deal.
