i said i was only going to respond on this thread, but im a liar.
i thought of a business idea with very low startup costs, but i am not quite sure about implementation of said business idea. NT help me out.
I'm sure all of you guys have been on the receiving end of a 419 scam attempt before. Most of us (hopefully all of us) are too saavy to fall for that trap, but there are people out there who do fall for it and get scammed out of their money. One of the biggest clues that its a 419 scam is the terrible grammar used in the emails. Whenever I get a response from a Nigerian scammer for something I put up for sale on craigslist, they never outright say that they are in Nigeria. They usually try to play it off like they are an American who just happens to be out of town or out of the country, yet they still type in broken English and always include certain phrases that are dead giveaways (mentions that they are God fearing, trusting, honorable people... stuff like that).
What I want to do is start up a proofreading/copywriting service catering towards Nigerian 419 scammers. For a small upfront fee, I will proofread and edit their 419 copy before they try to use it. I will make sure that it is grammatically correct and even include everyday slang so that it appears that the sender is a native American English speaker. How should I go about marketing my services in Nigeria? Do they have SEO consultants who specialize in certain countries only?
