The thing people don't tend to take into consideration is that every decade since the 60s had more than its share of terribly ugly cars... But history tends to remember those that were great. Plebeian 90's cars are still new enough where people see them on the road daily so they're fresh in our memory. In spite of their subjectively ugly looks the average 90s car was a huge step up in terms of performance and day to day reliability from the cars of the mid 70s-80s.

I dunno... I would be down for it, but it seems like all car threads that aren't the Official thread or RFX's get overlooked and lost in a day or 2.

I took a bit of time to look up the ugliest of the 70s vs. the 90s. the worst of the 70s (amc gremlin imo) still looks better than some of the stuff made in the 90s   (suzuki x-90 and geo metro for example)

Yeah... Gremlins, Pacers and Pintos are like pug and bulldogs... so ugly they become cute



There were lots of other downright ugly cars that came out of 70's though... Chevette, Skyhawk, Monza, Vega, Horizon, Omni and countess more from foreign manufacturers.
