the thread about nothing...

Isn’t it interesting how the “feel” of time is all relative to the specific activity that you’re doing? Like if you’re doing something physically taxing (like exercise) the passage of time can feel slow. Whereas, if you’re doing something you enjoy, time flies by.

As part of celebrating my birthday, my best friend suggested that we go meet up at a restaurant for dinner yesterday and then attend a nearby theater show.
I figured her gift was me not having to pay for the dinner, drinks, theater tickets, …
Since she did end up paying for everything, I wasn’t expecting anything else.

Turns out the real gift was a mousepad with a picture of us some time last year, while we were both pretty drunk:lol:
And a caption that says “(town) G[angster], Cutie, Potato farmer”

The potato farmer thing is a reference to me being paid rent in potatoes for the tiny plot of farmland I own. With no legal recourse, unless the farmer dies, he pays his rent for the land in 40kg/potatoes a year. That farmland itself is worth €11000 but I also can’t sell it until the bs rent ‘agreement’ is dissolved somehow. The farmer has no reason to dissolve it himself besides some good will so I’ll just have to wait until he dies.

My top 3 from today’s car show. Beautiful cars, weather and food. Ended up getting a Mopar baseball cap for $5 brand new🔥

More pics is the official car thread.

I been staying in for the last 3 months
No drinking
No going out
No late nights.
Finally decided to step out this weekend.
Very surprised how fast my social meter burned out.
I’m a very extroverted person for the most part.
But after this hiatus, I ’ve kinda been liking being on my own now.

I’ve noticed two people in my life who quit drinking and are the life of the party afterward.

And at that moment you love them even more for it, they’re having the time of their life dancing or being the good vibes, because you’re like well this is them, they’re not drinking. Maybe that could be a thing once you get used to it when you’re out.

What do you mean by not going out? Like you cut off all plans and contact with people for 3 months and did your own thing? What was the reason for the hiatus?
