The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

I have a rose gold plated fossil and honestly I love it. They are reliable look good and serve there purpose . Great budget watch

Fossil is a good everyday/beater watch. I wear one when I go fishing/do any outdoors type activities. Keeps time well and that's all I'm really concerned about when I wear it.

Thanks for the feedback.

I just bought the automatic movement pictured above for about $90 on a 50% off promo and I'm loving it.

Had a gold plated fossil many yrs ago. It was cool and served its purpose. I just haven't come across any that I've truly liked. Good job on the deal you got it on

I've had this burberry watch for the longest and finally got around to getting it fixed. Had to have a couple links added to it. Now the clasp wont stay secured. :{ gonna just swap out the entire bracelet and get a few nato straps whuch is what I started to do from the beginning but forgot about

If someone can supposedly afford a Rolex, but can't provide high-res quality pictures, your best bet is to stay away.

First get better pics, then go to a replica watch forum and ask them. They should be able to tell you. Another easy tell would be opening the caseback and showing the movement. Movement is a big tell for fake watches.

Thanks sir

Who is the "watch manufacturer" they speak of? Is it the same manufacturer of Jorg Gray watches who sells $80 watches?

And isn't Archimede and Stowa pretty much works the same way? I mean you pretty much order directly from the manufacturer and that is why the wait for each order is long at times.

Also, anybody got info or connect to an AD for Rolex that is out of state, outside of CA and can/willing to ship, that gives decent to good discount?

rfx45 rfx45 I would assume the "watch manufacturer" they are talking about is Jorg Gray.

Archimede and Stowa are a bit different from the Kickstarter watches. Archimede and Limes is the house brand of Ickler and uses their own Ickler cases but I believe they outsource their movements like Stowa. The reason Archimede and Stowa require a long wait time is that they assemble the watches to order using higher end components with better quality control and customer service to boot. In comparison, the kickstarter watches like the L&C are designed using existing parts from a manufacture's parts catalog. Little research and development is used in the majority of these lower-end kickstarter catalog-case watches compared to the more established micro-brands like Archimede, Stowa, Laco, Damasko, Sinn, etc.

Have you tried Alan Furman? I heard they give pretty good discounts but they are gray market. No clue for any Rolex AD's that discount.

Nice Bulova, looks like Hublot.

Nice that you were able to find the Invicta, even better you are trying to flip it.

Looks like every other kickstarter DW-esque watch. Price seems okay/fair. Sapphire crystal is a bonus but the 50M WR is a bummer but adequate enough for dodging raindrops. The only worry with these projects is how is how good is the quality control for these watches, customer service after purchase, and if the company will still be there if there is a problem or if a replacement part is needed in the future. But for the price, you can always get something with better build quality when it breaks down.

I'm trying to get from an AD first then grey market, there are a few grey market that gives decent discount like Alan Furman and DavidWS.

My sources has stopped shipping out of state so I am looking for new ones to save on tax. Rolex have been going real hard at the ADs who ships and discounts.

Thanks fam, price on the Bulova hurt, but I've been eying it since '12 I believe, slowed down on the sneaker cops and went ahead and bought it, nice gift to myself. Tried to switch it up with the invicta but seems all I liked was the MOP face, I'm a blk, gold, white, rose hold guy, silver doesn't do it for me

S/N: it does look like the Aero Bang, probably as close as I'll ever come to a Hublot [emoji]128514[/emoji]
