I don't doubt Neuer is the best keeper in the world currently based on present form, but he sure didn't play like it today. Schalke's back four didn't help matters but the second goal in particular was clearly a keeper's blunder. I suspect Neuer's nerves got the best of him. First, the pressure that comes with the "best keeper in the world" label and secondly the speculation over his summer transfer to Bayern or United.
Schalke in general lacked conviction in the midfield and attacking third of the pitch. One would think that the away team would gain some type of momentum or energy given the announcement of SAF's lineup with Smalling, Rafael, O'Shea, and Evans as starting defenders. No Rooney to worry about either. Raul and Farfan did not step up like the German club wanted or needed.

The 2nd goal was Neuers fault but we lost 4:1.
Our defence sucks with th exception of Höwedes and Escuadero.
We play without a creative midfield and our strikers are lost.
Man Utd deserved the win, semi final for my beloved Schalke is still a great success.
And again, 2nd goal was Neuers fault but he is nevertheless the best goalkeeper.

He is still trash, the weakest link in the whole team.
Valencia is amazing out with a broken leg for months and is straight in the team, fantastic form and a deserved goal.
If United go to the final and play their game I think it will be a great spectacle. The thing about Barca is that every team who plays them tries to stop them instead of playing their own game.
Hoping for a Scholes stunner like from a few years ago to close out his great career
