At first I thought it was a harsh red, but the commentator was saying he was in line with the textbook depiction of a red card tackle, and refs are taking a lot of heat from the committees to follow the words to a tee.
Tough call, ESP in such a big game.

We are playing like absolute horse ****. We have no type of rhythm and it seems like we're allergic to possession. Nani and Carrick are the biggest culprits. We can't get the ball up. RvP is completely ghost without any type of service. Liverpool have looked much hungrier but they've been wasteful with the final ball. 0-0 seems about right. That call seemed a bit harsh. Probably should have been a yellow. Now that it's 11v10, I expect a much livelier performance in the second half...

We were fortunate today. Unlucky for Liverpool that they had two harsh calls go against them. Probably wasn't a red for Shelvey and Valencia went down real easy. :\
