Someone mentioned how they wished another network would've made this...

AMC has won a bidding war to develop Robert Kirkman's harrowing zombie comic "The Walking Dead" as a potential series project.

The project had originally been developed by Oscar nominee Frank Darabont for NBC, but AMC anted up to give the horror epic a new home.

I think I get what they did...They outbid NBC for the show, but then only ordered 6 episodes instead of 13? Hmm...Then they came back season 2 and slashed the budget. :lol

That's kinda funny if you look at it the right way.
Maybe that's a good thing. NBC has sucked for a long time and the show might've been worse on there.

excellent ending we'll see how next season goes not sure if I'll be participating though

now the usual issues with the show...

notice how the governor went from manipulative, to bat **** crazy in two episodes. would've been nice for some gradual character development. see his actions get crazier and crazier.
You thought it was excellent and you'll see how next season goes but not sure if you'll participate? If you liked it then why not come back?

The gov wasn't trying to hear the Woodbury citizens no more, I knew once that lady talked back to him it was a wrap. Straight headshots

Season 4 Leak!

[spoilre]
The season begins with a zoomed out view of a prison. As we pan in to the courtyard in front of the prison, we see that Carl has grown up. He is sitting with Beth, who is holding their baby. A much older Daryl is seen nearby, standing guard. A few dozen "citizens" are mingling as well -- the elders are knitting and preparing a meal while the kids play with an old soccer ball. The camera pans again to an old security camera overlooking the courtyard. We see a faint red light blink.

Cue intro.

The rest of the episode and season returns to the time point where season 3 finished, as the new group of survivors transforms the prison into a home. A few episodes in, the Governor will return for vengeance with a new large group of people. In order to save the group, Rick offers himself over to the Governor, but it is a trap that has been set by the increasingly clever Carl. As part of the peace offering, Rick is also to bring a bag full of guns and ammo to the Governor. Unbeknownst to Rick, Carl has planted a bomb in the bag. Once Rick is with the Governor, Carl detonates the bomb, killing not only the Governor and his men, but his father as well.

In the season finale, we return again to the blinking red light. We now see who is watching. It is back in Europe, completely free of walkers. A group of scientists is watching, taking notes on human behavior.

The people the governer took into the prison were not killers, of course they booked it out of there. They had no idea what they were doing.

That's not possible, though. :lol

NBC was fine 2 years ago. Their problem is they don't have hits. Put this on at 10...yeah it's less gory, but it gets a real budget, real writers and a better cast. It definitely would be a better show right now.

The ratings for Walking Dead were huge on AMC from day 1.

This would be the biggest hit on network TV right now if it was on NBC.

I think Martinez would eventually flip on the Governor. Couple of episodes back; him and Daryl took care of some walkers and Daryl found a pack of cigarettes and offered him one and asked if he was part of the Army, he said nah and he was just pissed about what the walkers did to his wife and kids and then said the deal between Rick and the Gov was a joke, well aware of the predicament. Martinez looked shocked/scared seeing what the Gov did this episode. Not sure how he can stand behind him anymore when he finds out its gonna be only him and young Ed Reed left in the Gov's clique.
yooooooo bein' from baltimore had me

cuz i knew exactly who you were talmbout

Just watching the episode..

"You either kill or die.. Or you die and kill"

I'm not gonna lie, that was a hard *** line :lol

With Game of Thrones back, I forgot about this season finale :lol :hat

I just watched it still "drunk" off GoT and the episode was alright. I wasn't expecting much. I'm more excited for Mad Men's return at this point :{

I won't be checking for this show as much next season. I watched each episode faithfully on premier night the last 2 seasons but I think I'll just wait til they finish season 4 or hit that half way point and just catch up all at once. Its sad how horrible show writers can make me feel this way about a series I'm obsessed with :{

that woodbury chick karen is a terrible actress.  You just got gunned down by your leader.  Everyone you know who came with you to the prison just got killed by him too, and you're not furious/confused/hysterical?  She chillin....

iYen's review got me dying :lol :lol

All of this.

He does look like Ed Reed :eek

I always thought he looked like a older Patrick Willis. :lol

-The Governor going HAM on his own people :eek having the war drag on is dumb but we'll see how it plays out next season.

-Carl growing a pair :lol I'm not sure if they were trying to make him look ruthless or not cuz the dude didn't drop his weapon, he was moving towards Carol. He just made the smart decision. If they wanted to make him look ruthless the dude shoulda dropped the weapon and had Carl shoot him at a distance. That woulda been better. :hat

-They ruined Andrea's character this season. She won't be missed.

-I don't think Rick is weak for bringing in the people from Woodbury. Rick has always been a smart and compassionate guy. He also brought back Tyrese and his team is still intact.

I don't think he's weak either i'm just confused at what purpose their gonna serve, they're all women, children and elderly. The hell can they contribute to a war once the Governor comes back?

Maybe the Gov. already smashed. We know he had a notebook with a long *** list :lol

That's not the point. They went in like a swat team and left like scared cockroaches like when you turn on a kitchen light(flash bang).
