Pops is wildin tbh and he is one of the variety of reasons why they’re vulnerable since it’s the first time he’s in charge

There’s literally no reason to keep playing different lineups every game. They don’t have time for that

When you look at the rosters, it’s preposterous that USA would lose. There’s something about international basketball that evens things out. It’s a completely different game than the NBA. NBA is based on iso ball, transition, and mismatches. International is based on patience, ball movement, cuts, teamwork.

It’s not really much to this other than chemistry and the fact that other countries have NBA talent too

Nobody on this team has a killer instinct like that. Kemba is relentless but can only do so much. He'll pass when he needs to but doesn't............ Barnes is a walking mismatch with Kobe's skillset. Middleton.. nothing much to say about him. Only Kuzma can save this team

Watching 2006 loss to Greece on Youtube and looking over some history, it should have been more evident that this current team (even before the mass dropouts) is at risk

Much more talented rosters, some with All Stars in their primes have lost before to lesser competition

It was only an exhibition and the US should still be the favorite, but if or when they have to meet up with any of the 3 teams (France, Australia, Serbia) that gave a much better USA team trouble in 2016.. it could get dicey. Should be fun either way
