1) Not even trying to be funny, the Rockets need CP3 way more than they need Russ. I would have so much more faith in Hou if they didn't have Westbrook. He's by far the easiest superstar to scheme out, esp come playoff time.

To make matters worse, CP3 is playing w/Shroder, SGA, Ferguson, and is still at 40% on 3's this year (so far)

I think Morey's idea that you need to have top end talent to win big makes sense in theory. Chris Paul was available, and it made sense to go after him. He was essentially a free agent and he has the skillset to fit next to Harden.

Russell Westbrook can't shoot. From 3, from the midrange, he can't shoot and is even worse come playoff time. Why then, would you go after Russell Westbrook? It was a prayer that had very little chance of being answered.

Given what we've seen Harden do w/less talent, and given how much he dominates the ball anyway, they were better off finding a much cheaper alternative who could simply defend and make 3's. A high usage liability who's going to play 40 minutes a night is not it...not even close.

Not sure if sarcasm, but he played as a pro in Euroleague since he was like 16. And Euroleague is the second highest level of basketball in the world, definitely ahead of NCAA.

I completely agree with this, and feel like it's fair, but I assume it will be labeled as "hating" and "biased".

it absolutely is though because you can pick and choose the bad about ANY of the top west teams. we forget eric gordon didnt play in that rockets clippers game? lakers didnt have kuzma and rondo in that first clippers game. the clippers got washboarded by a pelicans team that didnt have ingram, zion, hart, zo, or okafor. so yeah it is hate and bias.

I’m waiting to see what I think about the Clippers needing to make a personnel move until after PG mad Kawhi play more games together with Shamet back.

The Lakers are really good. I’m just not ready to say they’re clearly the best team in the league based on them taking care of business against mostly sub-.500 teams. Long season.
