It's clear people have agendas on both sides when it comes to Luka.

People want to crown him quick because he's white. They wanted to crown him last year. Then it's people that still are hesitant to give so much credit to a European player.

He's been playing GREAT and he's only getting better but I can't put a 2nd year player who I haven't seen in the playoffs, who doesn't play defense over dudes that are more proven.

I guess if your argument is RIGHT NOW he's playing at a top 5-10 level but he's not a overall top 10 player. I don't even get the obsession to put a ranking on him right now instead of just letting him continue to get better and grow but again people got agendas.

This Pels team would be so much better with Favors/Zion.. there 4 & 5's are terrible on defense right now

I think it's more because he's 20 years old and has been arguably the best player in the league this season. He's going to regress to the mean a bit but there's no denying his talent as the best European prospect ever.

What happened to Garry Harris? I thought he was a stud, but he's been awful and a 4th option at best.

While we're on this the best example of this is when Shaq made the 50 greatest players of all time list after three full seasons.
Not a perfect parallel since Shaq essentially led the league in scoring back to back years, eliminated the MJ & the Bulls en route to the finals by the time that list dropped. Luka has just given us a great November  but I get your point. A guy like Dominique Wilkins should’ve (rightfully) felt slighted at that. I don’t think Shaq even attended the ceremony

Both can be true. The praise on him was over the top early in his rookie season. People was treating him like he really was rookie year Magic Johnson. I can't play dumb to the fact that his race plays a part in it.

Could just be the fact he had the best season a 19YO has ever had this side of Bron.

That's fair.

He was hurt for a lot of last season. Small sample size so far this year so you’d expect his percentages to rebound at some point.

He doesn’t get a lot of opportunity to develop his ball handling so as long as he’s in Denver he’ll just be a 3D guy.

*Luka playing in a scoring era where the gm is jack 3s and play no defense

not serious

Nuggets are probably better off with Harris being a 12-13 PPG scorer than a 17 PPG scorer.
