What's the Miami trade?
Saw a trade proposal on my TL last night:

Miami gets Jrue
New Orleans gets CP3
OKC gets Lonzo, Dragic (buys him out?)

There were a couple of other players involved to make the money work.

Edit:

Miami would have to send one of Leonard/JJ/Waiters to OKC to make the deal work.

Jrue to Philly. Move Al to the bench and slide Ben to his natural PF position

jrue-JRich-Tobi-Ben-Embiid

Simmons sub line up with Ben-Thybulle-Ennis-Tobi-Horford

Embiid sub line up with Jrue-JRich-Kork-Scott-Embiid

Why would N.O basically trade Jrue & Zo for CP3??

The spirit of Zhaire, Shake, Trigga Trey, Bolden + picks

To play the pass first vet for Ingram and Zion would be my guess. He's still really good.

And you can sell NO on CP returning "home".
Yeah I don't see how that makes any sense for NO. While CP3 is definitely still good, I don't think he's an upgrade over Jrue, and to on top of that lose someone that can be a decent role player in Alphonso just seems like hustling backwards.

Miami would have to come up off Justice and Herro if I'm NO.

I get him being Pass first & being a better set up guy for N.O, but it's not like Jrue is some ball hog.

Holiday>CP3 right now & unless OKC is giving up a ton of picks i don't see N.O getting any value out of this.

Jrue can also be a free agent in 2021. Gotta protect themselves.

I get the vibe AD is already in Jrue's ear about 2021.

That's another year off. Plenty of time.

If you're trading him, you trade him for someone younger than a guy who's turning 35 this summer. Someone that fits their current core better.

Unless I'm getting someone like Simmons or something like that, I'm not moving him until I figure out how the draft lottery shakes out and see what the general landscape looks like.

It's ironic cause off the court Russ actually has one of the highest IQs in the league, he could've went to an IVY league school.

Miami don't really have a need for Jrue.

They're already overachieving. They just need to hold it down with the youngins until they can move for a superstar.
