where theres smoke...

Kawhi buying himself a nice place in LA - for a pretty modest price, relatively speaking - is smoke?

Also, it’s becoming increasingly common for rich individuals to acquire assets, including property, through private business entities like corporations and limited liability companies. To me it suggests more Uncle Dennis actually knows what he’s doing than that he’s shady. But maybe it’s both.

That too. It is just the smart thing to do when you have that much money. Keeps things separate and apart from your estate and potential lawsuits, allows for easier passing through/down to heirs, etc etc. I know for a fact that these are things that athletes are starting to get smarter about.

agreed, it could all be cleared up by going through llcs and bank wire transfers to see where the monies are coming from
setting up different llcs also protect rich ppl's assets in case of lawsuits, divorce, and to "prove " losses when it comes to tax season

Reactions: HIM
Could give two ****s about Kawhi earning a few extra perks. Some of yall really starting to sound like the ncaa trying to figure out if there’s “wrong doing”

If an athlete can leverage a house or a stake, so ******* be it. What’s it matter to any of you guys 😂 If the league don’t find about it, even better

Then what's the point of having a salary cap?

Windhorst, Nick friedell and Bobby Marks all agreed they don’t see MIL as currently constructed beating either of the LA teams in the finals

What you're talking about is literally called salary cap circumvention.

The point of a salary cap is so guys like Ballmer cant just outspend and give extra perks to star players.
And it matters to you how? If they can get away with it cool. These guys should be able to get whatever they can, if a team is willing to do that why should anyone care?

If they get caught then they get caught and will be served a swift penalty. Like Minnesota did with the whole joe smith situation

Personally I definitely don't care and hope Kawhi gets as much as he can. I think the top players are relatively underpaid and should be able to ask for ownership stakes and whatever else they want.

But since that isn't the case yet, most players, teams and fans would be upset if it actually happened. You trynna brush it off like it's no big deal

Posted because freeze and another MIL fan were saying MIL was fine as constructed. Freeze said they would dust any west team. Just providing some different views

I think it’s too early to say all the way around. I’m going to wait until at least February before I start making Finals predictions.

That said, based on what we’ve already seen, assuming full health and no major roster changes, I think a Finals series between the Bucks and either LA team would be a 6 or 7 games series that could go either way.

What would Bucks need though? They have pieces that fit perfect around Yanis

Its not a fit issue; but reliability.

I think people are assuming that Middleton and Bledsoe might struggle in the playoffs again like they did against the Raptors last season.

Alright I see. I guess I just don't value their opinions like that.
It was also to have a discussion on their current roster. Those three guys had doubts about Bledsoe come playoff time, which is an opinion I have as well

Not saying it can’t happen but it’s one of those see it to believe it things
