This is one critique I stated when fox dropped out, and I think it’s fair. Pop for whatever reason didn’t have confidence in him... but overall fox isn’t going to be the difference in getting gold or not

But what is White giving you that Fox can’t? He isn’t shooting spot up 3s. He’s not creating offense. Pop is trotting out 2 Marcus smarts and expecting Middleton to carry the second unit.

International basketball is a different animal. You can have all the talent in the World, but Its teamwork and guys playing together for ages why these teams give the US fits. Especially if they get hot and Team Usa goes cold. The USA squad is weak in talent. I would label it a C team almost. Combine that with these guys never playing together and you will get these results. Its going to be tuff to win the Gold medal in this tourmament, but I think their talented enough to get the semis. We shall see..

Nothing, I was the first to criticize pop for seemingly alienating fox and causing him to leave
The bigger point is that fox wouldn’t make the difference between gold or not. Someone like dame or Kyrie, more so but even then it’s questionable

Watching that game today, I forgot how much these international competitions are these other teams just hacking us to muddle the game up and attempt to negate our athletes. Even the play that Tatum got hurt on was Cedi Osman playing this aggressive, hacking style of basketball going after Middleton, and he injured Tatum in the process. Can't be mad at anyone not wanting to risk injury out there.

Yeah the roster isn’t great, I don’t place the blame on Pop for that
Pop has done some weird things with rotations during the exhibitions but overall with all the drop outs the roster was flawed and everyone knew it. Even with the original pool their prospects weren’t all that great
