Sort of agree with this. While FIBA can be valuable experience, players will default to what they're comfortable with in a game situation instead of working on their weaknesses. Though the argument against that, which is a legit one, is the FIBA tourney is only two weeks long. still plenty of time to work on weaknesses if one truly wants to be great.I’m sure that’s all true to an extent but I’m not buying at all that it’s a sure fire better way to prep for the next season. Especially at the pro level
I’ve no doubt the fiba experience could be beneficial for particular players but I can’t agee that it is concretely better for everyone than training at home
It’s all dependent on that player and his experiences and personality. Folks seem quick to hit the “Fiba tourney>>>home training” button
