Harvey from TMZ was doing press today and said it. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He said he was in talks with Kobe's camp for like an hour before they gave TMZ the go ahead.
People are fake outrage man ... dont have bone of critical thinking.

Like no one is going to call Vanessa when Kobe is not where he suppose to be.

My point is, that she would def have found out before the cops ever got a hold of her.

In regards to media outlets, if someone had the verified scoop, they would of have ran it.

And we now know that she knew I mean..

So where do you draw the line between Journalism and Morals?
Morality is a social accepted notion of what's right/wrong which in fact varies by faith religion region upbringing etc.

TMZ reported what happened....

If you want to find something not moral, it would be the first responders that seek profit for providing breaking news.

JA Adande, who teaches sports journalism at Northwestern, talked about the TMZ thing on Simmons most recent pod. Basically said the most important things for a journalist is to be accurate and first, and that it’s not always going to be great morally. Said that he didn’t really see anything wrong with what TMZ did because they were accurate (when it come to the fact that Kobe was in the accident).
i believe in what he said but when it comes to death? Nah. It's different.

It should be an "unwritten rule." Basic common sense should apply when there's a death and someone just lost a husband and daughter.

Call me crazy I guess

This referring to me?

It's not fake at all. If TMZ got the okay, then I reneg and I'm glad they went about it the right way.

I still have a bone to pick with them as a media outlet though. Trash. I don't support them. Or anyone who rushes to report with a family being notified, for the sake of turning a buck.

That is the case

Also the is journalism, and journalism is competitive, and at times uncomfortable. It's not like they got it wrong. They are in the celebrity business, Kobe Bryant dying is indeed breaking news that has to get pushed out asap, morality aside.
Thanks for posting. This is good to know.

Tip came from law enforcement too. Terrible. And then the same law enforcement said in the press conference that it was despicable people mentioned his death before his own family was notified.

I should not be shocked

Yeah I get it. Capitalism. I never didn't understand their motives.

I just don't agree with the business of reporting fatalities before the family is notified. And it that didn't happen here, it's a moot point. I was under the impression that's how it went down, based on initial reports.

Like I said before, we live in a capitalist country.

The Sackler family payed doctors to push opiates that they KNEW were addictive, in order to juice profits...resulting wave of misery, addiction and untold number of overdoses, which ultimately lead to the first decline in average US life expectancy in like a century.

Sneaker resellers and TMZ gossip reporters are the least of our problems.

Nope, not you ... not anyone here really.

Moreso the law enforcement that sell this information.

However, I would say that some of you are saying this is of limits because is death. Yet, if a female is violated by having her intimate pictures leaked for the world to see, some of the NTers are quick to ask for link. Now let me here, but is different ...
