Different era, but he did extend his game to the 3. John Collins thinks he’s a SG. I also value the other side of the ball. Which NTers favorite players refuse to play.
Extended his range. If he played today he'd adjust and shoot the 3 just like every single big. 'Dyess would be a 150 million dollar player today.
Back pedal strong

I never said he wouldn't be a max player. He got paid decently even in his era

Beal is having a great year individually but they're not putting him in the all star game with 16 wins over those other dudes that's winning. Trae Young is on a trash team but the fans/kids love him so he got voted in.

Ingram must not be averaging 25 on 18 shots anymore, while getting 6 and 4 too? Dude been in the top 15 scoring all year with fg% up there with dudes who score in the paint.

Vincent Van Goat Vincent Van Goat

Didnt look at the #s big deal. I do remember him taking plenty of 15-20 footers though where he was damn near automatic. Today, he'd shoot the 3. Just like every big with a mid range back then.

This has more to do with valuing the other side of the ball. Healthy McDyess is 20-10-1-2 guy. Today those numbers would be wildly inflated. The defense is not even close.

Thats why for as talented as players like KAT, Trae, Booker, John are i dont really mess with them too much. KAT is probably the most talented offensive big man literally ever, but that **** dont matter.

You know what you're getting and it'll be that (20-30 wins) for years to come.

Wow!!!!

The coaches be on the whole other end of the fans, only pick dudes from the top 5 teams in each conference...They give no dambs bout stats, roles or entertainment :lol ...Guess it all balances out in the end tho

Always funny to see dudes like Hibbert or Jeff Teague gets picked when nobody wanted to see them and they only gon play like 4 mins on that Sunday :lol

They usually give the nod to the player on a winning team, but there's a huge talent disparity between KAT and Gobert.

BI and Booker are on the same tier so I can understand.

But a couple years ago GMs voted KAT as the player they'd most likely pick to start their franchise.

If you swap KAT and Gobert, the Jazz would be more or less the same record wise. The T-Wolves would be a lot worse IMO.

Though he has missed a ton of games thus far.

I'm not convinced.
