Marcus Morris must have reached the point where he’s just sick of changing teams and moving all the time. Because, aside from the benefits of living on NY, I can’t think of another reason someone as far into his career as he is would want to stick with a team that doesn’t look like it’s going to sniff even making the playoffs for years...

His kid lives in Philly and he wants to be close. That was the reason he stated for pulling out of the San Antonio deal.

I feel like he was very clear about this from the get go and no one should have even bothered calling the Knicks

I agree he was clear about his intentions, but from the standpoint of a team that might be interested in trading for him, there’s really no down side to placing a call to the Knicks and getting turned down directly. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take, right?

Fair. A one year rental just swung a a championship run.

Marcus Morris is gonna get as many buckets as possible this year, secure the bag and then request a trade within a year if the Knicks are still this bad.

The Knicks are absolutely going to be this bad. No young players work a damn and they can't attract vets that will actually make the team better. They're screwed as long as Mills has a job.

I mean RJ and Mitch are solid young foundational pieces. Plus add another top 3 pick to that. Plus 7 picks in the next 3 years so its not THAT BAD.

Problem is we completely screwed up any development of DSJ, Frank, Knox by continuing to play vets over them. If we'd play only the young guys the whole season (see Hawks) we'd literally have a similar trash record. You're still losing games but atleast you know what you have with your "future".

The front office doesnt seem to get that. A loss is a loss, but they continue to play Elfrid/Morris/Randle 35 min a game. We've had decades of trash seasons, but to me personally, this front office has by far been the worst one. Not trading Morris would be the final nail.

If you can’t see how ****ing lethargic that dude has looked this entire year besides about 5 games then you are blind.
Man don’t start. And if he’s out the giving his all and still losing and hurt then what will you say then

jo doesn’t give a **** about Brett and neither does the team. He doesn’t call play and Simmons hasn’t attempted a 3 in the last 2 months since being called out publicly

Quit with the ******** excuses with his gf or his sleep schedule.

Nick Nurse coaching Team Giannis...

Interesting/obvious wrinkle from last night's game without Kemba was the Sixers have nobody to pick on if he's not out there. In the previous games guys like Richardson and Tobias were just hunting for him. With Smart out there in his place, the Cs had 4 good-to-very good defensive players out there along with whatever big they decide to play. Makes it much more difficult for a team that sometimes struggles offensively. No easy way out.

If they play each other in the postseason, I wouldn't be surprised if Kemba took more of a backseat in the series.

Doubt it lol but then again our coach wouldn’t even hunt for Kemba and have Al shoot 10+ 3s

Meanwhile in Brooklyn waited on Levert to get healthy, took Jarret Allen when everyone said he didn’t love basketball, found dinwiddie in the G league, and got joe Harris from nowhere. Really what reason is there to be a knicks fan?

:nerd:

Dinwiddie was a great rare find. Love Levert too but lets not act like he doesnt get hurt every other month. Most teams would still choose Mitch ever Jarret 9/10 times. Joe Harris is cool.

Its funny because legit no one still cares about Brooklyn. It'll be funnier when they have empty seats next year too.

I don’t think anyone is taking Mitch over Allen.

I’d rather have KD and empty seats than have a packed house chanting for the owner to sell the team. But hey
