Nuggets didn't have a let down today after their b2b road wins against UTH and MIL

Jokic caring
Barton having a career year

Not bad. When their 3 starters come back hopefully they'll mesh with this new momentum

denver confuses me so much. they had 9 guys in double figures vs the bucks. they have a deep roster and win games on effort and depth.

and yet i'm not really that worried about them because you can switch on most of their actions and completely frustrate their offense. I'm not convinced they have guys who can 1v1 a bucket when they get taken out of their offense like that.

That's a fair big picture assessment. Same could be said about Utah and to an extent, Houston as well

Outside of the LA teams, these other next tier squads going to have to just go out and prove it. I don't think any of them are necessarily "scary" or concerning but there is reason for optimism for all of them. Still think they (UTH, DEN, HOU and even DAL) have more than a puncher's chance to score an upset in the playoffs

All about matchups. If Denver doesnt finish 1st or 2nd seed they're getting upset.

Imagine a healthy Blazers v. Denver in the 1st round too. That has upset written all over it.

So you're saying automatic DAL, UTH, HOU> DEN ?

Portland has a lot of work to do to get anything other than the 8th seed

HOU - I have no idea. I can easily imagine a bricking Harden and Westbrook.
DAL - automatic
UTH - automatic
POR - fully healthy (Nurkin, Collins) yea I think thats a bad matchup big time

Malone gets them better every year, but Denver is a glorified regular season team. You're really gonna depend on Gary Harris as your 3rd best player? Idk man.

I was hoping Utah would show they were the superior team but they got beat fair and square in their first matchup. I think there's still much to be proven with Utah Denver matchup. I do think Rudy can matchup well with Jokic and their overall offensive scheme/personnel

Dallas is really unpredictable. They have one of the deepest if not deepest teams in the league but none of them have ever been to the playoffs outside of Seth. Both of their games against Denver have been to the wire. Another matchup yet to be determined

Saying Dallas and Utah would automatically beat Denver is pretty wild.
Way too early and much to be determined on these matchups. UTH only played DEN once and played DAL twice and split the games both went down to the last min

Playoff basketball leans heavily on iso scoring, defense, and rebounding.

Denver is mediocre in all 3.

Imagine being paid 20 mill a year to average 10-2-2 on 40/30 splits.

Get that bag, but add another player to the list that NT severely overrated.

Nuggets trying hard to get rid of Millsap. Trying to work a Millsap for Beal trade but not trying to give up Barton

I would like them to match up with DEN or HOU. I think they can match up well with either
Denver went thru the fire in the playoffs last year, can't see them blowing HCA to a team of newbies. And I think the current top 4 is pretty much a lock with some musical chairs to end the season.

Beal cant be traded. Millsap is Horford levels washed, him being a center piece in any trade at this point is not happening. Especially for a talent like Beal.
