Which means he needs to get his *** in the low post

We should see it come playoff time tho

You don't get it.

1) He's playing with another 5 who only is in the dunker spot. That makes things hard for AD.

2) His catches aren't clean, especially in the 4th. He's allowed smaller guys to get up under him and push him out of good post position

3) Lakers are isolating Anthony Davis too much. He's improved a ton in this area, but this ain't his ****. He's not big enough physically to consistently punish shorter, but stronger dudes like a Shaq.

Part of this is AD not wanting to play center though. Late game they should be running PnR or putting his *** in the dunker spot.

Nah bro.
1. So what if Dwight is there in the "dunker" spot? Did 6'11" Otis Thorpe stop Dream from getting the rock in the post with Jet, Cassell, and Mad Max feeding him? Did Parish stop McHale from getting touches inside? Or how bout Robinson, did he prevent Duncan from operating inside?

If AD demands it, the space will create itself and everyone clears out. He just not aggressive enough. Mindset not there yet. He will learn tho.

2. If a small is pushing him away from good post position, that's when a good floor general recognizes the situation and calls AD to run a PNR to re-position AD and exploit the mismatch.

3. Lakers won't have this problem if when AD is on ISO, players are cutting and moving off the ball on the weakside in order to shift the defense.

Kuzma is supposed to be that guy but instead only Caruso the one doin it. The rest just standing there spectating.

Additionally, AD ismore effective on ISO if Lakers mix it up with him on offense. Iso down low, then pnr next time down then iso again but face up top of the key. Then switch it up and go pinch post action for that mid range.

When it comes to AD, Lakers have to mix it up on offense.

No he not gonna punk dudes down low like Shaq. But he got the size, skill, and athleticism to get whatever he wants if the D don't know what's comin cause hff e sint been shooting fadeaways and jumpers all game.

AD is really just Kevin Love
We don't have any playmakers
Lebron is a shell of himself
Kuz in unplayable

and yet this little poor team who was gonna struggle to make the playoffs is struggling at the #1 seed in the West... crazy how that works.

Also since we wanna talk fourth quarters... can anyone explain to me why elite wing playoff P is shooting 40% in the 4th quarter also & is top 20 in TO's?

I mean he's such a shot creator right?

PJ picked up his 4th foul pretty early and AD disappeared instead of attacking him and fouling him out. They let us get away with Harden guarding AD and they didn’t even try to foul harden out either.

played 40 minutes against Tucker, Covington, Sefolosha, and harden and only look 21 shots.

Paul George has missed like 21 games, is shooting 40% on 3's while taking 9 a game. He's been good, not great.

But what the hell does Paul George have to do with Anthony Davis? Anthony Davis is "better" than Paul George?

Imagine not caring about shot creation and playmaking

Imagine constantly talking about one teams shot creation deficiencies.... & in the same breath caping for a team that is in the bottom third of the league in all statistics that track shot creation.

Ya'll love to use nuance conveniently.... Sort of like nobody has mentioned all season that your Celtics have had the 4th easiest schedule in the league, And yet have under performed their expected wins record by 3 games thus far.

I've been hearing the PG isn't healthy EVERY TIME he goes in a slump for 2 & a half years now. Then he Drops a 40 piece & he got the shoulders of a kid in a Diddy video >D

According to some in this thread AD isn't even top 10... not to mention he doesn't play make so clearly his game is hallow. PG tho he's a "creator" (forget that him & AD averaged the same amount of assist last season) his impact should be felt more.

Somebody on Twitter made an interesting parallel to the Rockets/Warriors series....and how Houston can bait you into playing for mismatches (KD posts ups) instead of playing team ball/what you do best.....

While LA got a lot inside due to sheer size....they threw away a lot of possessions trying to force the ball in the mid post. And if Houston is hitting 3s and one of Russ/Harden is going off...it’s curtains.

In addition, let's remind them how many times they've seen the mountaintop since 1987.

LMAOOOO

There's an easy way to beat that gimmick.

It's called disciplined, smart, fundamental basketball

It’s really hard to do that for 4q’s.

That said....Man, y’all got one with Caruso. He should be playing 25mpg if it wasn’t for perception and politics. Hope y’all don’t figure it out.

I’m still pissed Danny Green ain’t get traded at the deadline. That would’ve put a nail in the Lakers season. HES the guy I worry about. Type of guy to get a backcourt steal...down 9...and pass for an easy two...then the next possession...make a rotation and force a tough shot...leading to him breaking out and hitting a transition 3. A 9pt lead cut to 4 in like 30 seconds.

The lil things he does in the game....especially big games...never fail.

Again We've seen this movie before & we've seen it with a better cast. This style is completely ignoring the physical toll this is gonna take on Tucker/Covington especially when we know Dantoni notoriously doesn't control minutes.

I Love Russ but those are the same shots that people kill him for when he's off & he will be off, Sure Harden didn't play up to par but he's never gonna be able to do that if Russ is getting Cooking because They both trash off ball.

Houstons two best players shoot 30% & 32% in the playoffs for their career.... the GM's plan is to throw out a bunch of short players and hope we beat actual nba defenses in a series chucking up an insane amount of threes
