JV team? Imagine being 13 with that type of anger. Kids need help, aren’t going anywhere in life at this rate for sure.

plenty of 16/17 year olds play jv. It’s not jr high.

dame tweets killing me. he know he’s killing it right now. He should’ve posted Donovan’s numbers back

Every job theres some kind of consequence for making constant mistakes. I get it, it’s real time, but if the same ref or crew keep blowing calls/games there should be some kind of penalty. Keeps the refs on their toes at least a little bit. Right now they’re untouchable.

Every thing under a minute should definitely be reviewable though.

Yeah I’m not understanding the “you can’t punish them for making mistakes” take. In literally just about every other profession on earth you face some type of punishment for constantly making mistakes, especially ones that effect other people.

Here we go with the “well in other professions” take.

I mean it’s not like you have to bring up working as an accountant or some ****...if an actual player is constantly making mistakes he doesn’t play anymore and eventually is out the league. The NBA employs the same refs for 30+ years it seems no matter what their performance is.

let’s fine Ben Simmons for every shot he turns down or every jump pass he makes that ends up being a turnover

Between CJ’s “The Audacity” and hearing Serge Ibaka say “OG” the NBA has given me hilarious audio all week.

Yikes, I can't believe I repped you.

You're still on my ignore list.

I don’t know how you expect to discipline refs for human errors. They blew the call and Dame should be mad but we are going to fine someone for making mistakes?

Even if you fine someone, it's not going to change the outcome of the game.

The challenge calls are good and all but there needs to be a way to over rule the refs for an obvious mistake like this in a crucial game. Those Secaucus New Jersey guys they used to mentioned every minute of every game a few years back.

The first order of business for some on here is to always immediately fine and take money out of people’s pockets

Man

I think folks go that route because they know the rules aren’t gonna change over night and that would the easiest way to make an impact immediately.

IMO - it’s a prisoner of the moment take. I get that Portland is in a playoff race but in the grand scheme of things there are 1,230 games in an entire NBA season not including the playoffs. It’s one missed call. If any of us got fined/fired for a minuscule mistake we made on a random Friday in February there would be even more jobless NTers. I agree there should be review reform but calling for firings? Sheesh.

I’m not saying the refs got to get every call right....but you can’t miss that one. I’m sorry someone gotta answer for that.

Oh yeah that is absolutely the reason they go that route

They just fail to realize the rash of other unintended issues that would cause making a bigger mess than the initial one

If you’re not holding the refs accountable, players shouldn’t get find tens of thousands of dollars for expressing their opinions either.

Every coach should have 1 challenge that they are able to use under the 1 minute mark where everything is reviewable.
