But it would help Clipper fans to know that games in October and December mean a lot less than games against contenders in March, which is when playoff contenders are supposed to start buckling down for that stretch run

LAC beat the Lakers WITHOUT PG in October. Will the Clipset be without PG in the playoffs should they face the Lakers?

They did it fairly effectively in the 1st half. Particularly the second quarter in which the Lakers only scored 22. A lot more breakdowns in half 2 for them.

im talking about in the totality of their games and their careers
Bron beats you by controlling the game
he can score and he can pass and as you can see he can manipulate the chess pieces on the board to get what he wants

kawhi a bad MFer for sure but he's gonna beat you by scoring. he's not gonna control the pace and walk the ball up and try to get this or that he's gonna get to his spot and get a bucket

Kawhi can do all this too imo. But he not well equipped physically to do it for an entire game. Not his style.

But iirc, according to many, he's "Kawichael Jordan Leonard"

Only thing is, Kawhi can't play the point the way MJ could.

Prior to Game 1 of the '91 Finals, all the talk was "Can Michael upstage the ultimate team playmaker in Magic?"

Then the Lakers won Gane 1 in Chicago.

After that, Michael put on his Magic-face and beat Magic at his own game the rest of the series, averaging double digit assists.

Can Kawhichael do all that to upstage Bron??

Yup. Actually, the first two meetings, thr clips did a good job of this. And yesterday, they had some success. But the breakdowns come from a lack of chemistry and experience. They have the bodies and personel to do it. Doc also gotta be smarter.

Picking apart a Tag and recover is like ABC to Bron . Flattening him out and playing him straight up with teamwork/communication is the way to go.

Back line and corner communication too.

Clamps when they started switch hunting in the 4th Qtr and OT tho. Great performance. But as far as the down the stretch switch hunting...it ain’t work in this game.

Also.....

It's gotta feel kinda defeating when your only playmaker is also your worst defender. So you take him out and now you struggle to run offense and his replacement can't defend either.

ok with lebron "switch hunting" but if doc is gonna play lou in crunch and allow lebron to "switch hunt" make him waste 18 seconds of the shot clock doing so, help on the drive, force the other guys to hit outside shots. live with the results.
