I stopped consistently watching with sound years ago. Remove the fans and I’d actually be interested in hearing the player banter on the court.

Maybe they’ll bring back watching NBA games in virtual reality now that the tech has improved. Oculus did a bunch of concerts last year, and you had the option of either watching with a crowd of people (that you could interact with) or by yourself.

I’d **** with that.

Everything about how this is playing out is ******* nuts considering we've never seen a reaction like this to many of the other viruses they've sprinkled on us through the years, that have just faded away with little talk.

as far as playing the games with nobody in attendance, the thought is ridiculous. Fans are a huge part of any sport and it effects the play on the court.

Yea it definitely feels different than the last few epidemics, whole governments and countries have shut down entire cities and regions and the precautions being taken are as strict as I've ever seen.

Might have to do with the expected number of cases experts are predicting, Germany's PM said they expected 70% of their population to get it and congress's physician expected 75-150m cases in the US...

Didn't think any year could've topped the trashness of the last 3 years but 2020 is off to a record pace :smh:

Stay safe out there NT fam and try to take all the necessary precautions that are being recommended to protect yourselves and your close ones :ohwell:

I said this a couple weeks ago. One step closer to speaking it into existence like I didnthe FT gamewinner at the all star game

Fans should not be allowed to attend live sporting events. Fans should not be able to impact a game. Cheering or jeering players too often affects player performance.

To be clear. I will always support the Lakers. And Kobe is my favorite player ever. I do not like bron and didn't want him on my team. I, however, do not actively root against him because he's on my team, but since he decided to wear the big draws and go to the fresh coast, I hold him to the same standard of greatness as I held the laker legends. And I dont miss a chance to blast him when he goofs. That's for neighborhood though.

Curry is my favorite current player. warriors currently trash. Giannis on the wayyyyyyyy

I was never one of those fans that if you root for 1 team, you purposely hate everyone else. It was just by nature. Truly, only hated the direct threat to the lakers chances for the chip, or, whatever superteam bron was on post 2010...lol jk. As I've gotten older, and with kobe retiring, (I only ever cared about him and the lakers winning while he was playing, we weren't chasing anything post-retirement besides draft picks, then bron traded all my youngins away) I opened up to liking way more teams and players. I don't claim other teams, but I do like them. It's much freer as a fan. I get people having feelings about how someone roots or somebody enjoying everyone, but, who gaf, hop off. I enjoy hoops way more now

Not actively rooting for the clippers or bucks. At all. I just expect them to win. and I have players I like on both sides, that I wouldn't mind seeing get hardware. Those are the two favorites for the chip in the league that I see. I just think they're better than the make up of the Lakeshow, player to player.

Lakers didnt consult me in the signings or trades...so theres a bunch of dudes on the roster I DON'T **** with. I'm not fake. If I didn't want you on my team and roasted you when you were elsewhere, you're catching bars when you mess up with that jersey on. I'd thanos snap half the roster away like that.
this dont eem make sense free. you say you root for the lakers but you dont. you hate on um every chance you get.

you actually ARE actively rooting for the bucks and clippers cuz u know they the only ones who have a chance to beat said lakers

you DO root against lebron and rip him for any reason. you never did this with kobe so you dont hold them to the same standards.

not sure if freeze or ben baller 🤔

He has played his hand real smart these last couple years.

i mean.. some of the stuff just seems obvious..

like he clearly is a better fit there than tobias with the 2 main guys, especially with where things are and heading (positionless and all that).. and especially more of a better fit with the main 2 than horford who should be a 5

but i think ben should be a 4 that handles the ball

lol at the bucks beating the lakers...they have no chance

I don't think he's returning this season.

nope. Rumor was that it would be a 6-8 week thing initially and Brett is still trying to make the Horford-Embiid pairing work

Just end this season now and wrap Embiid in bubble wrap as he runs on a treadmill

To put things into perspective, in the month of January over 100 people died from the common flu (Influenza) just in California alone. Thus far, there's about 31 reported deaths in the U.S. from the virus.

While the Coronavirus has a higher mortality rate you're more likely to die from Influenza because it's more widespread.
However, the mortality rate is most likely skewed because people may have the disease without knowing or just displaying mild symptoms.

The main issue about the Coronavirus is that we haven't developed any vaccines or medications to treat the disease and it'll probably take a while (months-years) due to how recent the disease is.
