I don’t see how it fails. I think a lot of people will be tuning in to watch future lottery picks play against each other in a professional setting. And the players will get more out of the G league than they would out of college imo.

I love it. It’s gonna be interesting when/if it gets close to the MLB/MiLb setup. Draft a player with potential and throw him on your G League yeam for a couple years and then call him up to the majors.

I disagree. The experience of goofing around in Communications 101 and hanging out in the quad is unparalleled. Missing out on that will affect their ability to form relationships with fans and teammates later in life.
