Is today the anniversary of this... assassination? 😬🤦‍♂️🤬

f Drew brees
For centuries white people have used ignorance as a cloak to hide the dagger of oppression.
When we allow them to and open our arms in embrace, we inevitably end up stabbed again.
For our own safety we must say that if you're not unequivocally with us, then you are against us.
When you have nearly the whole breadth of human knowledge in your pocket, ignorance is a poor excuse.

Drew Brees never kneeled during the anthem and he always from the beginning let his beliefs be known he did not believe that during the anthem was the right time to protest, people just forgot over the years. That picture of him kneeling was when he had all of his teammates kneel with him as a team BEFORE the anthem then they all stood up as a team for it.

It wasn’t the right time to remind people what his views were on it but Brees is the furthest thing from racist. And this is coming from someone who hates the Saints.

You really do talk like you know everybody else personally.

We can only judge a lotta people by their actions and what they say the first time cause that's usually when you get the truth.

Brees showed his *** the first time when Kap 1st kneeled and then doubled down on it a few days ago. Not letting some half assed apology after getting dragged everywhere absolve him of being ignorant and stupid.

Just saw some dude in the NFL thread say that he closes his establishments during the Bayou Classic and Essencefest two of the biggest black events in New Orleans. That doesn't seem like good man behavior, it's downright nefarious and intentional.

Kuz was spot on with his assessment. You had 3+ years to educate yourself on why the kneeling took place and you came up with the same defiant stupid *** conclusion and now in a couple days you've had an epiphany, after they collectively were about to get yo *** out of the paint? Nah ain't falling for that ****.

:nerd: :smh:

That’s foul as ****...

Why did they choose Disney of all places to continue the season. Why couldn't they just use the stadium the magic play in?

This whole Brees ordeal didn't highlight his explicit racism rather his ignorance and subconscious superiority complex

The latter can be just as harmful as the former. Just because you're not out in a white hood doesn't mean everything else up to that point is good ole free speech and thought

At some point society has to reject certain free speech and thought. **** been going on way too long and permeates throughout the country. What Brees did was along the lines of these white folk protesting the anti-racism protests

Just shut the **** up, take a step back realize what is going on and humble yourself. He had 4 years to understand the point of the kneeling. He was wrong 4 years ago and he was still wrong when he gave that interview. His initial comments reflect a large segment of society who refuse to look at the ugliness and acknowledge the full history and context

On some "we all agree police brutality is bad.. "BUT".." ... NO just sit down shut the **** up

That really sounds like you're convinced that you know him personally, which is confusing considering your opening statement, where talking like we know these guys personally was frowned upon.

How many of you are gonna cancel the NFL from your life tho
Been. Honestly even besides the stupidity and overt racism from the ownership, the overall -it- factor went missing long ago to me. I remember when I used to be glued to the couch on Sunday's... genuinely be hyped for a majority of matchups

I don't know if there are more NBA fans who are like me but the feeling just aint the same. Probably has to do with concussions and low player pay. Just don't want to treat these athletes like robots and value them only for fantasy league purposes

Covid coming back with a vengeance

where's all the safety measures that were suppose to be in place? masks? plexiglass? seats removed? folks really risking it all to place down some bets

i hope orlando isn't going to be like that when they reopen to the public and nba
