I'm actually not sure anyone said the Heatles were a failure but a few folks in here seem to be running with that narrative.

Facts. I jumped off the porch and said failure instead of underachieved.

But I still don't think they underachieved. In the moment? Sure. The idea of 3 guys in their prime like that coming together should of been a dynasty, 6 chips or whatever.

However, we're in 2020. We have some perspective, and we're some years removed now from the Heatles run and IMO, 4 trips to the finals, and 2 rings is not underachieving. We know more about how hard it is to win big, regardless of how many stars you have on the team. Lebron was clearly speaking in Hyperbole on that stage, but in reality, in 2020, we know how hard it is to win big so from that, hell nah it ain't underachieving.

Winning a title is hard sure.
Winning b2b titles is ridiculously hard.
Winning b2b2b titles is nearly impossible.

But in the context of the moment and not looking in hindsight when you look at the Lakers winning b2b with just 1 top 15 player in 09 and 10 (Pau borderline at that time) and the Heat a couple years later having 3, top 15 and doing the same thing it kinda is an underachievement. Heatles should have won 3 given the top end talent they had.

And there damn sure shouldn't have been talk about them getting broken up as early as 2012 in that Boston series.
